Social Media Ethics In Healthcare: Staying Afloat In Cyberspace Chaos

It seems like every healthcare organization is posting pictures and stories on Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and even Linkedin.  Is this ok?  This interactive session will help healthcare professionals of different backgrounds following different codes of ethics determine what is the most ethical course of action when it comes to social media and in the healthcare workplace.  Also discussed will be how to guide patients and family caregivers on this issue.

This course is suitable for both beginning and intermediate levels.  There is a review of the Codes of Ethics which is necessary and appropriate for beginners.  It also applies to intermediate levels as it expands upon the introductory level, focusing specifically on how to use the Codes of Ethics to manages and navigate these complicated situations that involve social media, boundaries and our role.
