Life, Death and Conversation: Advance Care Planning Amongst a Healthcare Crisis

Death and dying has always been a difficult topic for many professionals to discuss with their clients and patients. With the outbreak of Covid-19, the need for these difficult conversations are more important than ever. What are the client's wishes?  How can a “good death” be ensured? How can healthcare professionals encourage families to have these important and timely conversations before a crisis arises? Join us for this thought provoking and interactive seminar in guiding these discussions productively and compassionately.

This course is suitable for beginner & intermediate levels.  This course is appropriate for beginners as it will discuss reasons behind the resistance in having these discussions and the barriers faced.  It is also appropriate for intermediate levels professionals as it covers methods to help families initiate the conversations and discuss best practices.
