It is important that the people we are caring for understand that what is good in life is just as genuine as what is bad. In this interactive seminar we will examine what truly makes people happy. We will detail the importance of the caregiver approaching care with positivity and we will complete activities where we challenge negativity. Participants will strategize ways to help their patients and clients develop their strengths, foster hope and use positive psychology to improve their clinical outcomes.
This course is suitable for both beginning and intermediate levels. There is an introduction to Positive Psychology, which is necessary and appropriate for beginners. It also applies to intermediate levels as it expands upon the introductory level, focusing on the caregiver living a more positive life and using that to help effect a better clinical outcome for their patients & clients.
