If you weren’t familiar with the term “social distancing” before this pandemic you certainly are now. While social distancing is a critical preventive measure during this difficult time, it’s important to remember that all of us are at risk for social isolation and loneliness because of it. This timely, interactive program will examine the dangers of social isolation and loneliness while offering ideas on how to prevent it during this period of social distancing.
This course is suitable for both beginning and intermediate levels. There is relevance as it provides the fundamentals of the differences between loneliness and being socially isolated. It also applies to intermediate levels as it expands upon the introductory level, focusing on the strategies and insights into methods for working with individuals as symptoms & behaviors arise.
