Description
Engaging the caregiver of a person with dementia has the potential to increase patient satisfaction, reduce errors and improve your job satisfaction. In fact, the RAISE Caregiver Act was passed so caregivers receive this much needed support. This opening session will help you to better partner with the dementia patient’s caregiver so everyone benefits. This course is suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Since the RAISE Caregiver Act has been recently passed, it is appropriate for all professionals, including advanced levels.
This course is appropriate for beginners as it will discuss challenges of family caregivers of patients with dementia. It is also appropriate for advanced and intermediate levels professionals as it covers awareness and understanding how to apply the spirit of the RAISE Caregiver Act in health and mental health organizations.
