Description

Quarantine is the "separation and restriction of movement of people who have potentially been exposed to a contagious disease to ascertain if they become unwell, so reducing the risk of them infecting others." Amid this world health crisis, we need to focus on the effects this quarantine has on our residents/clients. From a psychosocial and mental health perspective, there are serious concerns. It is essential to assess the seniors mental health status as they experience separation from loved ones, the loss of freedom, uncertainty over disease status, and boredom, all which can have an impact. This webinar will allow participants to take some time to process what it must be like for our residents/clients to deal with this pandemic and how to develop an individualized care plan that appropriately address their needs.
