What are best practices in working with GLBT seniors in nursing homes, assisted living, adult day care and other healthcare settings? What are their unique needs and how are they sensitively met? Join us for this interactive, informative and fun diversity training class.
This course is suitable for both beginning and intermediate levels. There is an introduction to the LGBT population and their history, which is necessary and appropriate for beginners. It also applies to intermediate levels as it expands upon the introductory level, focusing on the role of the professional as educator, advocate & clinician and it pertains to understanding the history and how to effectively work with this population to establish trust and deliver positive outcomes.
