Description

Lewy Body Dementia impacts 1.4 million Americans yet it is still widely misunderstood.  Join us for this eye-opening interactive conversation on how Lewy Body dementia is different from Alzheimer’s disease and other irreversible causes of dementia.  Diagnosing, treatments, risk factors and best practices for treating patients will be explored.

 

This course is suitable for both beginning and intermediate levels. There  is relevance as it provides information on what makes Lewy Body Disease different from other dementias and behaviors associated. It also applies to intermediate levels as it expands upon the introductory level, focusing on the strategies and insights into the causes and method for working with individuals as symptoms & behaviors arise.

She was a consultant for many years to the Anne Arundel County, MD Department of Aging and Disabilities, and a caregiver support group facilitator for 17 years. Mary is currently an associate speaker with Jenerations Health Education, Inc. speaking extensively on subjects related to dementia care, eldercare, caregiver issues, and successful aging.
